The throttle light shows “full” but the Via Mezza is not running

1. To access the controller, remove the controller plate covering the metal box between the battery and the wheel (left side) by removing the two Phillips head screws.

2. The controller is the silver box located underneath the plate.

3. Locate and disconnect the brake inhibitor connections (one for the right brake lever, one for the left brake lever) on the controller.

4. Turn the power switch “ON” and prop the rear wheel off the ground allowing it to spin freely.

5. Twist the throttle, the rear wheel should spin now. If it does you will need to replace one or both of the brake levers.

If this step did not resolve your issue please continue to step 6

6. Locate the throttle HAL sensor connector. If disconnected simply reconnect it. If it appears to be connected, disconnect and then reconnect.

7. Be sure the rear wheel is propped up and off the ground allowing it to spin freely. Twist the throttle, the rear wheel should spin now. If it does the throttle HAL sensor connector simply wasn’t connected.

If this step did not resolve your issue please continue to step 8

8. Locate the three bullet connectors, these provide the power to the rear wheel. If disconnected simply reconnect any loose connectors. If they appear to be connected, disconnect and then reconnect all three connectors.

9. Be sure the rear wheel is propped up and off the ground allowing it to spin freely. Twist the throttle, the rear wheel should spin now. If it does the bullet connectors were simply not connected.

If this step did not resolve your issue please continue to step 10

10. Locate the white connector with 5 wires coming from it, this is the wheel HAL sensor connector. If disconnected simply reconnect this connector. If it appears to be connected, disconnect and then reconnect it.

If these steps did not resolve your issue then please call our customer support line at (800) 377-4532 for further assistance. Please note that It is unsafe to ride your bike with any controller plugs disconnected.
