Throttle light is “red” but scooter won’t run (Charge Inhibitor)

1. Test your charger by plugging it into a wall outlet only (be sure outlet has power).   If the light comes on the charger (light may be green or red depending on charger) proceed to step 2, if not then please call our customer support line at  (800) 377-4532 .

2. Turn the power switch on the scooter “OFF”.

3. Remove the platform by unscrewing the bolt located under the on/off switch.

4. Disconnect and remove the battery.

5. Remove the plate located forward of the battery compartment. The controller is the silver box located behind the plate.

6. Locate and disconnect the charge inhibitor connection to the controller. It is a white connector with one wire leaving each side.

7. Leaving the battery disconnected, plug the charger into the scooter.

8. Secure the scooter so the the rear wheel is off the ground and it can spin freely. Turn the power switch “ON” and attempt to throttle the scooter.

9. If the rear wheel spins, the problem is an inadequately charged battery pack.

10.Turn the power switch “OFF”. Reconnect the battery pack and let the scooter charge for the time specified in your Owner’s Manual. Link to charge times

11. After charging the battery, inspect the light on the throttle. It should be “green” which indicates a fully charged battery pack.

If these steps did not resolve your issue then please call our customer support line at  (800) 377-4532  for further assistance. Note that It is unsafe to ride your scooter with any controller plugs disconnected.
